Noida International Airport Is Targeting International Flights This Winter Schedule
Noida International Airport at Jewar, which opened for domestic flights on 15 June 2026, is targeting the start of international services around the IATA winter schedule change on 25 October 2026, with Dubai, Singapore and Zurich flagged as likely early routes, though airlines have yet to confirm firm dates.

Noida International Airport (IATA code DXN), built at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh to relieve pressure on Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, opened for domestic operations on 15 June 2026 with IndiGo, Akasa Air and Air India Express as the first carriers. International operations have been the next stage of the rollout, and current planning points to a launch timed around the IATA winter schedule change on 25 October 2026, though the airport's own opening timeline has already shifted more than once, so this should be read as a target rather than a confirmed date.

Which international routes are actually likely
Dubai, Singapore and Zurich have been the most frequently cited prospective international routes, based on memoranda of understanding signed with Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa-linked partners back in November 2024. It's worth being cautious here: those MoUs signalled interest rather than committed flight schedules, and none of the named carriers has yet issued a confirmed route launch. Actual international connectivity at Jewar will depend on individual airlines filing routes for the winter schedule, which had not been finalised at the time of writing.
Why it matters for travellers around Delhi-NCR
Jewar sits roughly 75 kilometres south of central Delhi, closer to Noida, Greater Noida and parts of western Uttar Pradesh than IGI Airport is. Once international services begin, it's expected to give travellers from these areas a shorter road journey for at least some long-haul connections, easing pressure on IGI's congested runway slots in the process, though IGI is expected to remain the dominant hub for international traffic out of the capital region for the foreseeable future.
What hasn't been decided yet
No airline has published ticketed international flights from DXN as of this writing, and the airport's own history of delayed milestones, its original domestic launch slipped from an earlier planned date, is a reasonable basis for treating the October target cautiously.
Traveller tips
- Do not book international connections through Jewar until an airline has published a confirmed, ticketed schedule.
- Domestic flights from Jewar are already operating; check with IndiGo, Akasa Air or Air India Express directly for current routes.
- Jewar is connected to Delhi and Noida by the Yamuna Expressway; dedicated rail links are still under construction.
- This article reflects planning as of September 2026; confirm current international route status with the airport operator or your airline before making travel plans.
